For current customers, we have begun a multi-year process of discontinuing maintenance and support services for Ionic Auth Connect. During this process, we will continue to keep Auth Connect up-to-date with support for all latest dependencies.
The Auth Connect package will be sunset effective December 31, 2027. Any applications still relying on the @ionic-enterprise/auth package at this time may experience build failures.
Auth Connect Options
The Auth Connect package will be made available for self-support in 2026 to customers who have a valid Auth Connect license at that time. We recommend that you spend the next 12-18 months evaluating which of the following alternatives work best for your business:
- Directly utilizing the APIs provided by your authentication provider. This could include JavaScript and native APIs.
- Modifying the authentication strategy and workflow used by your application.
- Utilizing the source provided by Ionic under a perpetual limited use license to build, host, and maintain a self-supported version of the Auth Connect package.
Self-Support @ionic-enterprise/auth package
For teams who would prefer to continue to leverage the @ionic-enterprise/auth package, Ionic will be making these solutions self-supportable in 2026. Customers with active subscriptions will be eligible to receive a non-exclusive perpetual license for Auth Connect.
More details about self-support will be coming soon.
