What's Happening?
We're excited to announce some significant changes to the Appflow dashboard. These changes will streamline the build experience and allow for new features in the future.
What do I need to do?
Nothing at this time. These changes will not impact your applications. This is simply a reorganization of the Appflow dashboard.
When?
Changes take effect Monday, March 2nd 2020.
What's Changing?
Unified Build UI:
All builds are triggered from the Builds panel. When triggering a build there are now options for Xcode 10, Xcode 11, Android, and Web Deploy. Web Deploy builds replace the earlier Deploy/Web build options. The Builds panel now displays a history of all build types.
The build list can now be filtered on the build type or status. For example, it's now possible to display only failed iOS builds.
Web Deploy build artifacts:
The results of Web Deploy builds are now downloadable. Download a zip of the completed build using the link on the Builds panel or from the Artifacts section of the build log.
Destinations:
Destinations are used to define a target for build artifacts. When a successful build is deployed to a Destination, the build artifacts are delivered to the selected destination for further processing.
The Destinations panel displays a list of all configured destinations for an application. Select a destination from the list to view it's properties.
Currently the only destination available for builds is a Live Update Channel. Future updates may introduce additional destinations.
Live Update Channel
Valid build types: Web Deploy Build
Creates a channel used by the Live Update plugin to monitor for updates. The Live Update plugin will apply the build most recently deployed to the configured channel.
see: cordova-plugin-ionic, Appflow Live Update docs
Properties:
Displays a history of every build deployed to the channel. An earlier build can be redeployed using the Roll back link.
Deployments:
The Deployments panel displays a history of deploys to all destinations.
The Builds panel includes a Deployment column displaying the target Destination for a given build.
Select New deployment to deploy a build to a destination.
The Builds panel and build logs also display a link to valid deployment destinations.
